In this paper we present experimental results of optical amplifier using stimulated Raman scattering effect in germano-silica fiber pumped by laser diodes at wave of 1470-1471 nm. The amplifier coefficient of Raman Optical Amplifier achieved up to 11 dB in the wavelength range of 1550 nm when the pumped power is of 29.54 dBm (900 mW) in standard optical fiber SMF-28 with the fiber length of 85 Km. This Raman Optical Amplifier can be used in high-speed DWDM fiber optic communication networks. date: 2011-10-11 type: Conference or Workshop Item type: PeerReviewed identifier: Nguyen, The Anh and Nguyen, Thuy Van and Nguyen, Thanh Hai and Pham, Thanh Son and Bui, Huy and Tran, Thi Cham and Bui, Trung Ninh and Ha, Xuan Vinh and Pham, Van Hoi (2011) Optical amplifier based on simulated Raman scattering effect.
