Controlling some phase shifters of a phased array antenna without moving the array physically causes the wave-fronts of the antenna element changing, so the main beam of the array be able to scan in space. However, in both series and parallel feeding styles (conventional approach) it is required a number of phase shifters. This paper designs a symmetrical phased array antenna using only one phase shifter at each branch of the array. The analytical and simulation results using ADS (Advanced design system) software demonstrated the advantages of the proposed design. date: 2017-10-05 type: Conference or Workshop Item type: NonPeerReviewed format: application/pdf language: en identifier: https://eprints.uet.vnu.edu.vn/eprints/id/eprint/2575/1/S5.5_paper_7.pdf identifier: Tran, Cao Quyen (2017) Developing a Symmetrical Phased Array Antenna with Low Complexity.
