Currently, rescheduling task is implemented manually by agreement of switching shifts among workers or by a scheduler. It is a complex and time-consuming operation but obtained schedules have been far below the expectation of the staff as they in general violate working rules and contract agreements. In this research, we propose an approach based on Mixed Integer Programming to support the scheduler solving the problem. Our model includes multiple objectives which minimize the number of changed shifts and the number of affected employees. Experimental results show the effectiveness of our method. date: 2017-11 date_type: published full_text_status: public pres_type: paper publication: NICS 2017 Conference event_title: The 4th NAFOSTED Conference on Information and Computer Science (NICS) event_location: Hanoi, Vietnam event_dates: 24-25 November 2017 event_type: conference refereed: TRUE citation: Do, Thuy and Pham, Hoang Giang and Tran, Xuan Khoi and Ha, Minh Hoang and Do, Bach (2017) Solving the staff rescheduling problem in Lai Chau hydropower station.
