Asymmetric PS-MIM nanocrescent (AMNC) was separated and dispersed into the solution employing the sonication method. The absorption properties of AMNC colloidal solution were measured and calculated with the use of spectroscopy and discrete dipole approximation methods. The results indicated that hybridization of elementary plasmons of individual AMNC particles played an important role in determining optical properties of this colloidal solution, which were determined to be functions of component layer thickness and particle density. These findings are expected to enhance the pharmaceutical deliveries and biosensor fabrication. date: 2020-11-20 date_type: published official_url: http://dx.doi.org/10.35848/1882-0786/abc8ac id_number: 10.35848/1882-0786/abc8ac full_text_status: none publication: Applied Physics Express volume: 13 number: 12 pagerange: 122004 refereed: TRUE issn: 1882-0778 related_url_url: https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.35848/1882-0786/abc8ac related_url_type: pub citation: Pham, Tien Thanh and Pham, Dinh Dat and Nguyen, Thi An Hang and Vu, Minh Thong and Thi Nghiem, Lien Ha and Van Nguyen, Tien and Tanaka, Daisuke and Nguyen, Duc Cuong (2020) Synthesis and optical characterization of asymmetric multilayer metal–insulator nanocrescent in aqueous solutions.
