"This quantitive researchwas conducted to compare the\r\nefficiency between three groups of machine learning’\r\nclassification techniques for detecting broken rotor bar\r\n(BRB)fault in induction motor using stator currents signals\r\nwith two different signal processing method. Thus, the main\r\npurpose of the article is to find out the most suitable method of\r\ndistributing and extracting data for the fault diagnosis\r\nproblems. Two of the most common used signal processing\r\nmethod – Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Fast\r\nFourier Transform (FFT)has been implemented to extract the\r\nstatiscal features of the faults. Then in the next logical steps,\r\nalso the most important step, fault diagnosis, three\r\nclassification algorithms: Support Vector Machines (SVM),\r\nK-nearest Neighbors (KNN), and Ensembles are chosen to\r\nevaluate the performance and the impact of those different\r\nclassifiers for induction motor fault diagnosis. Hence, the\r\nstudy found there are five classifiers (Fine Gaussian SVM,\r\nFine KNN, Weighted KNN, Bagged Trees and Subspace\r\nKNN) are best suited for the proposed problem when\r\nproviding nearly 100% classification accuracy for all fault that\r\nthe other 12 classifiers can not perform well."^^ .
