Water pumping systems using solar photovoltaic energy have been used increasingly widely in recent decades as one of the most popular solar energy applications. This paper aims to analyze and design a simple standalone photovoltaic (PV) water pumping system used for agriculture applications. Initially, solar pumping systems with direct couplings with the pump were utilized; however, their limited performance caused the system to not operate at the maximum output of the PV generator. In the last decade, these systems have been improving their performance due to the addition of the maximum power point tracker (MPPT) and control systems. contact_email: tchung@vnu.edu.vn full_text_status: none pres_type: paper event_title: International Conference on Engineering Mechanics and Automation (ICEMA6) event_location: Hanoi, Vietnam event_dates: 14 November 2021 event_type: conference refereed: TRUE citation: Tran, Cuong Hung and Nguyen, Ngoc Linh Analysis and design of a photovoltaic water pumping system.
