Theidea of integrating multisensor navigation systems was implemented. The most efficientmultisensor configuration is the system integrating an inertial navigation system (INS) consistingof MEMS based micro sensors and a global positioning system (GPS). In such system, the GPS isused for providing position and velocity whereas the INS for providing orientation. The estimationof the system errors is performed by a Kalman filter (KF). A serious problem occurs in theINS/GPS system application that is caused by the accidental GPS signal blockages. In this paper, the main objective is to improve the accuracy of the obtained navigation parameters during periodsof GPS signal outages using different methods. The overall performance of the system have beenanalyzed by experimentation data; and results show that these methods indeed improve the qualityof the navigation and guidance systems date: 2007 date_type: published publisher: VNU full_text_status: public publication: Journal of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi volume: 23 number: 4 pagerange: 243-251 refereed: TRUE issn: 0866-8612 citation: Tran, Duc Tan and Luu, Manh Ha and Nguyen, Thang Long and Nguyen, Dinh Duc and Nguyen, Phu Thuy (2007) Land-Vehicle MEMS INS/GPS Positioning During GPS Signal Blockage Periods.
